Straight answers

What we can't promise you (yet).

  • Wind Down itself hasn't been in a clinical trial. Its four ingredients have, at these doses. Our own 21-night home trial is running now, and we will publish what it shows.
  • That you'll never wake at 3 a.m. again. In the main affron® trial, the number of awakenings didn't change; sleep quality did. What we aim for is drifting back easier.*
  • That it works for everyone. Some notice a calmer wind-down in the first week, others need a few weeks, and some don't respond. That's why you get 60 nights.
The ritual

One small cup, an hour before bed.

  1. Pouring a Wind Down sachet into a mug

    1Tear open a sachet

  2. Stirring the golden drink in a mug

2Stir into a small cup, warm or iced

  3. Hands holding a warm mug in bed

3Sip it an hour before bed, then a bathroom stop before lights out

FAQ

Questions, answered straight.

Will it help when I wake at 3 a.m.?

That's what it's made for, so here's the honest version. In a saffron study that recorded sleep with brainwave headbands, time awake after first falling asleep went down on saffron and up on placebo. In the main affron® trial, sleep quality improved but the number of awakenings didn't change. So the aim is drifting back easier, not never waking. That's why you get 60 nights to see for yourself.*

Won't a drink before bed make me need the bathroom?

It's one small cup ([X] ml) an hour before bed, so there's time for a bathroom stop before lights out. If night-time bathroom trips are a big part of your waking, it's worth mentioning to your doctor too.

What does it taste like?

[Flavor], lightly sweet with [sweetener]. [X] calories a serving, no caffeine [confirm]. Warm or iced, whichever suits you, which helps if you run hot at night.

I already take magnesium. Why switch?

Magnesium covers one step: helping your body relax. Wind Down adds L-theanine for a calmer mind, glycine for the cool-down and affron® saffron for your own melatonin, each at a studied dose. If you keep your magnesium, count the 250 mg in Wind Down toward your daily total.

Will I feel groggy in the morning?

Wind Down is made without melatonin or sedating ingredients, so there's no sedative to sleep off. Everyone is different, though: if it doesn't agree with you, stop and tell us.*

How does the subscription work?

Only if you choose it. One pouch every 30 days at the lower price, and you can skip, pause or cancel in one click from your account. Want to try it first? Choose “Try it once”.

Can I take it with my medication?

If you take medication, or are pregnant or nursing, check with your doctor first. Every ingredient and dose is on the label, so it's easy for them to check.
